Year of Establishment of the Department and A  Brief History of the Department

                The Department of Commerce was started in 1969 as a part of the then Sri Venkateswara University Postgraduate centre, Anantapur with one Reader and one Lecturer. The Department has grown along with time both qualitatively and quantitatively. Now strength of the faculty is nine.

Courses Offered by the Department: The Department offers M.Com., M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses.

Major Equipment in the Department:
The Department is provided with one slide projector, one overhead projector, one V C P and one television. The teaching staff of the Department very often uses this equipment for making teaching more effective. Office is equipped with one English typewriter and two computers.

Extention Activities

Consumer Protection, Education and Research: The Department has started a Consumer Protection council and Consumer Research Council. Eversince its inception the council has solved more than 500 cases.The Department is also actively engaged in Consumer Research.
